Our goal is to explore all the trails of the park including those that are not accessible through the 56th or 71st St gate entrances. Therefore, we meet across the street from the park’s 56th St entrance at the Mayor’s Garden on the southeast corner of 56th and Reed Rd next to the Colt’s Complex.
We will meet there at 9am, stretch, sign in, and choose the trail we’ll walk for the day. We will then drive to the trail.
Walks will be canceled with steady rain to avoid risk of injury while hiking. We will send alerts no later than 1 hour before hiking time.
Safety First! Please be mindful of your physical abilities allergies and respiratory issues. Bring inhalers if needed and take allergy meds before hand. Don’t forget your hydration!
Wear appropriate attire for your comfort.
